Which Aspect of Your Marketing to Work On

How The System Originated

When people find out what field of work I am in, a decent percentage quickly jump to asking me questions about digital marketing. Many of them have trouble expressing the topic or issue they actually need help with though, if they even understand it themselves. I will often hear some type of broad or vague description such as “I want to grow my brand” or “I want to get more customers”.

In order to help them pinpoint what type of work they should actually concentrate on I have come up with a few questions that help me identify the level of sophistication and functionality of their digital marketing system. Not only do these few questions and recommendations typically help the inquisitor, but they can also get you out of conversations that would otherwise drag on forever.

How To Use The System

So here we go. The list below is meant to be used as a quick reference to determine which topics are most relevant when you or someone else needs help understanding what to work on. While the list is nowhere near extensive enough to diagnose all possible website issues or provide actionable insights for every situation, it does provide enough context to steer people in the right direction.

Simple right?

You can quickly determine what obstacle needs overcoming and recommend further material containing a full explanation on how to solve the issue without having to attempt to explain the entire solution yourself.

Give it a try next time someone outside of digital marketing asks for your help in passing or on the fly. The system hasn’t let me down yet, so I’m confident it will work for you too.
